| Go through your home and collect items. |

| Decide the time and date of sale, write and place newspaper/ craigslist ad. |

| Make sure items are cleaned and repaired. |

| Decide where your signs are to go. |
 |
| Set up your tables and display areas and proper lighting. |

| Get checkout area ready: bags, calculator, newspaper (to wrap items), paper, pens, change at least $40 in small bills. |

| Put up signs the day before sale. |
 |
| Open for business. |
 |
| Take your signs down and count your money. |
